search for: wine20041201

hi i've been running steinberg's wavelab 5 under wine20041201, but recently i upgraded to wine20050111 - and wavelab was the only app i was using that didn't work ... so i downgraded back to 20041201 - and it won't work :( i had compiled the 2005 release from source (and was able to see, for the first time, wine's jack audio driver work ... well...

...ogling around I found that many have had this problem. But I can't seem to find an answer to it, or it's outdated. So what's going on. When I try to install Starcraft I get a message box with the error: No program start menu found. I installed the newest version of wine I could find: wine20041201 athlon package. I use Fedora Core 2, not totally up-to-date, but I recon this is a configuration problem. Can anybody help me or give me some pointers. Thanks in advance, Dave

...OK when I am in the un-tarred directory ~/wine-20041201/. The Wine installation did not copy any binarys to /usr/local/bin (or any other bin directory) so that I got an error when ever I tried to run it. So I made a link to the executable file in the wine-20041201 directory like this "ln -s ~/wine20041201/tools/winewrapper /usr/local/bin" Now when I try to run wine from a directory other than its own directory I get this error: /usr/local/bin/wine: could not locate Wine source tree.
