There existing a bug in newer Wine versions. I use SuSE 9.3 as system. If I used the Wine-version, which comes with the distribution (wine-20050211), then the following window comes at start: http://user.web-gear.com/theuserbl/wine1.png But if I update to wine-20050830 or wine-20050930 then it looks like http://user.web-gear.com/theuserbl/wine3.png It is NOT a font-problem. ...s bug has a very simple workaround, but I would like to see if it is still present in Wine 1.3 beta. Is it possible to have 2 versions of Wine simultaneously installed on the same system, or will they disturb each other ? Of course wine uses a .wine directory, but is there a trick, such as using .wine1 and .wine2 ??

When I run naiture in WINE (it is a Windows based program that I am trying to move to Linux/OpenSource) it says the FPS is like 500+ with just a block in the center. ...e to navigate through wine configuration and everything seems to work fine except the sound. (If it matters, I did not install Gecko) A few different people suggested I run winecfg again with the arch set to 32 bit. Since most apps I will be running are 32 bit. I ran 'WINEARCH=32 WINEPREFIX=~/wine1 wine winecfg' to see if it helped. It puts me in the same boat as a regular winecfg. Audio does not work.
