Completely in despair - Xen and Windows domU
...00:16:3e:01:01:01, bridge=dummy0'' ] windows runs to. If I enable VNC or the network, I get the state ------ and 0 CPU usage. It just does NOTHING AT ALL. No warning. No error. The really funny part is that the networking and VNC actually worked during installation. After that I shut down windoof, created two debian domUs (with xen-tools) and started - tried to start - windows again. No way. PLEASE!!!! Anybody any ideas??? I am really desperate! I can''t afford much money at the moment, but I am willing to pay as much as I can now and more later... Thank you very much in advance!...

problems writing to profile share when updating from samba 2.2.3a to 2.2.5
Hi, we updated our samba 2.2.3a to 2.2.5 because of several printing problems. Now our Clients (win 2k & xp) can't write to their profiles share (the windows error-message was: "this file is used by another process", but there weren't any other processes from this user). In the samba logfile we can't see any write-attempt from the client. Our smb.conf: [global]

Samba 3.0.22 w2k3 ad+sfu working but ls shows only uidNumber and not uid
...only = no create mask = 0660 directory mode = 0770 Ok, let 's get to the point. Winbind -u/g returns all the user and group information out of the AD as expected. Getent passwd/group works fine also. I have access to the shares and can view the ownership/rights via the security tab in windoof. Doing a "chown dmg" (this group exists only in AD !!) is also possible. But if i do a "ls -la" i only get the gidNumber (6000) of this group !! The same happens to the owner of the file, for example Administrator with uidNumber (37). I tried to get around this problem using...
