Joining a Samba DC to a Windows AD
Hi,
I need to join a Samba 4 DC to a Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory Domain.
Do I need provisioned with --use-rfc2307 ?
For example:
samba-tool domain join samdom.example.com DC -U"SAMDOM\administrator"
--use-rfc2307
I intend use SAMBA_INTERNAL DNS. Do I need provision with --intercative for
select SAMBA_INTERNAL DNS ?
Can I to inform other DNS existing (primary DNS) in my local

Multiple Controllers to auth against
Hello,
I am currently using samba along side of squid to do ntlm
authentication. I have a primary, and secondary NT4.0 controllers, and
have listed in smb.conf as such:
password server: server1 server2
I expected that when server1 went down, server2 would be queried next.
This was not the case for me. I actually had server1 go down, and samba
continued to attempt and fail against server1.

I've checked the script output, that looks good.

Just two small comments,
- The hosts file, if your resolving is correctly working then you could remove the other DC's and FS from it, but it does not hurt is you keep it as is.
- As long your are sure the DNS servers are ok and all needed zones are in these "proxy?dns" server. that should be fine also.
