Hi, Im running a domain controller (AD DC) and file server, on the same machine, with sernet-samba 4.1.14. Right now, I have a process using almost 100% CPU all the time. After 'samba-tool processes' I found that the process is winbind_server. On samba wiki page, they don't recommend using domain controller as file server because winbind issues. I already have other domain controller and file server, running without problem. Why is not recommended using domain controller as file server? What issues exists in winbind in this kin...

I provisioned a server with Samba4.3 from repo ubuntu16.04. I tested some things, but I can NOT connect to my Samba DC from the Windows DNS client. ADUC, AD Sites and services, and AD Domain & Trusts, connects Ok. But DNS [" Acces is Denied "] does not connect to the Samba4 DC. Any idea? Hi, i changed the options but the problem it's the same. I removed the dns forward, schema and smb2 leases = yes, but after 5 minutes the process smbd groes up for 100%. Hi, We upgraded a legacy (NT4) domain from 3.6 series to 4.8 and then 4.9.4 samba version (using sernet subscription packages / debian stable) The setup is composed of 4 DCs with each 2 CPU/16GB RAM. We currently have ~700 user accounts / ~600 computers / ~150 groups Our mail setup, SSO, ... query the 4 DCs constantly. Every 5 to 10 days the RAM consumption and CPU usage (due to kswapd)
