Why hard disk images may fail with msdos ?

IE under wine
Hi,
I would like to know if anybody has got Internet Explorer to run under
wine, and if so, he is willing to share some experiences (plugins, java,
stupid sites, etc.)

well, the problem follows...
we have samba-2.0.X server + numerous Win95OSR2-RUS clients.
sometimes, it looks just like someone has "locked" certain file
and it f$$cks up all the work.
can somebody give me a clue how can I get the following answer
(unfortunately, smbclient doesn't help much)
"user A (workstation W) has locked files F1, F2, F3".
