hello list, i have a running vm with win7. When i fire up an 'virsh shutdown win7' nothing happens. When i fire up a second the same command, then the win7 machine is shutting down. Why do i need to fire up this command twice? Any ideas? best regards marko --

Hello, everybody! Does anyone have experience of running win7/winxp with xl? As for me, I got HAL_INITIALIZATION_FAILED BSOD on win7 booting and guest hanging in case of winxp. When i run these guests (with the same configs) with xm, everything is ok. The guests boot perfectly. Did anyone run into it too? After upgrading Win7 and W2K8 R2 clients to service pack 1 it is no longer possible to log in to domain(before the upgrade the clients can log in into domain). Clean installation of Win7/W2K8 R2 with integrated sp1 has the same effect. Our domain PDC is running on samba 3.3.7. I'm curious if anyone else has seen this already. Thank you Mikhail Zuskov

Hi, I just installed Samba on my Centos 6.4 computer. Smbstatus says my version is 3.6.9-151.el6-4.1. My smb.conf file only has a [global] and [homes] section. My configuration works, as expected, from a Win7 Virtual Box computer and a Win8 Virtual Box computer. I can see the share from the Windows file explorer and can map the share to a network drive. The Samba server is not virtual.

hello, I skipped Vista and was using WinXP on all clients until now. I deployed my policies using a file ntconfig.pol in the [netlogon]-share, but this does not work with win7 any more. How do you deploy your policies with Vista or Win7 ? I use recent samba 3.4.6 and hope there is some way. Every experience welcome.
