More than one logon script, can I have?
Hi,
RH7.3, Samba 2.2.8a, Win2KSP4 clients...
I was just wondering,
I know I can have a logon script based on a machine name, on a group, a
username, etc., but am I able to actually have a combination of the
above?
I would like to have a standard group logon script (which I currently do
have), but I would also like an extra scri...

MIME structure intermittently lost
I'm using Dovecot-0.99.10.5-0.FC2 on Fedora Core 2 on the server, and
Mulberry 3.1.6 over Win2kSP4 on the client. Intermittently messages with
multiple parts show up as a single text part. I'm not sure if it's Mulberry
or Dovecot. I just turned on IMAP logging and restarted Mulberry and a
message with two text/plain parts that wasn't showing the 2nd part is now
displaying it corr...

Multiple histograms in one chart
Hi!
I've searched quite a while and this is probably a
very easy question: How do I
prevent a new hist() histogram from clearing the chart
window before drawing?
I would like to have several histograms simply drawn
on each other in one chart...
Thanks for your help!

Renamed PDC, now user profiles don't work
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I just changed the NetBIOS name of my PDC (*not* the name of the domain)
and now the security properties of the domain user profile on my
Win2kSP4 workstation shows "S-1-5-21-..." as the user rather than the
username.
Also, System Properties|User Profiles shows that the account has been
switched to a local profile and has been *deleted.*
Worse yet, I've tried disjoining and re-joining the domian repeatedly,
with and without Ne...

Printing problems Win2K SP4 on 3.0.x and 2.x

>From the Samba server perspective, it looks fine. I can use smbclient to

the printer, and spool a file to it. As mentioned above, the Win2k drivers

Bizzare Date, DateTime, date_select issues
..., but then the date_select
statement raises the "invalid date" error message.
Out of desperation I''ve even uninstalled Ruby and Rails, and reinstalled
it all again. This is all latest version stuff... Ruby v1.8.4, Rails
v1.1.2, RadRails v0.6.1, MySQL v5.0.11 all running on Win2kSP4.
Any ideas?

Roamin Profile problem / filedate issue
Guys,
I've identified a problem "I think"
Config:
Samba 2.2.8a on Linux and Solaris
WinXP SP1 and Win2kSP4 workstations
We have a problem here, when logging out and using roaming profiles
on a samba host take significantly longer than logging out when the
profile is stored on a Win2k server.
Looking closely I've discovered the following.
On each logout, numerous files, that have not changed are s...

3.0.14a: print driver deletion w/ rpcclient
W/ Samba 3.0.14a I've installed an apparently buggy printer driver (for
a Brother HL1670N). From a Win2kSP4 client:
- log into the samba server as me (the printer admin)
- go to Printers share
- right-click on printer, go to Properties
- it bitches about print driver not being installed, asks if I want to
install it, I click No
- go to Advanced tab, click New Driver
- proceed to add driver for printer

Plea for Help with Slow Roaming Profiles
I've posted a couple of times about this problem. This is a plea for help
with Roaming Profile configuration.
The short problem is that logging on and logging off takes about ten
minutes, with a fresh roaming profile (~1MB), on a 100Mb LAN.
If anyone has any suggestions or pointers or questions, *please* pipe up.
I'm all out of ideas.

Problems with Loggin on Samba Server
Dear Team,
While I can log on to my Samba Server just fine, I still get this error in
it
"Windows cannot create a profile on \\server\profiles\ikw38.pds you will
not be able to save any changes to the server
but you you will have local profile on the machine. No changes will be
saved.
I looked at smb.conf file it looks to in order according to the
documentation.

Samba 3, AD, and roaming profiles
Greetings,
I have been working on getting Samba 3.0.20rc2 on a Sun Solaris box to
play nice with our institution's Active Directory (AD) environment. The
AD set-up is pretty plain and I have no ability to make changes to its
configuration - a different department runs that show.
Should I be able to store the roaming profile information on my Samba
server in an AD environment? The rest
