Asterisk 1.4 reliability problems
Hello All, We have been experiencing some ongoing reliability problems with Asterisk for quite some time, and I am trying to find out if anyone else has experienced the same problems. We are running asterisk 1.4.17~dfsg-2+b1 on Debian Lenny, with a Digium PRI card, and have approximately 120 sip peers, mostly Snom 360s, with a few Grandstream GXP2000 and a handful of Handytone 486 units. The

Attatch monitor recording to a voicemail
Hello All, Our old Lucent Argent system had a feature whereby when you initiate recording during a call, it would afterwards send the recording as a voicemail message to the user who initiated the recording. We use the automon *1 recording function in asterisk, which allows users to record a call if necessary on the fly. Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be an easy way for the user to

Synthesize low batt (LB) fron SNMP UPS which does not support this?
Hmm. Is there maybe something there already that will do this? Maybe kind of back-handed. In drivers/dstate.c, I see: In status_init(), if ?driver.flag.ignorelb? is set in the driver state, the ?ignorelb? flag is set. In status_set(), if ignorelb is set, and the status being set (presumably from the UPS) is LB, it?s ignored. In other words, LB reported by the UPS is ignored. In status_commit(),

Powering off the big stuff first
Interesting. Something similar came up in late May. Look for "[Nut-upsuser] Synthesize low batt (LB) fron SNMP UPS which does not support this?? Is there an archive of this list? I an?t find it. I?d been trying to figure out how to do that itself, but then found some code in drivers/dstate.c that looked like it would work, but someone else replied that they?d tried it and it didn?t work. But

blackmail attempt? Stable mailing list block?
I got some weird mail back, claiming that my e-mail was blocked, w/o indicating what server was blocked, after the mail appeared in the mailing list. Is this some BS shakedown? I use postfix on a DSL line forwarding to earthlink, this is hardly something that should be rare in the BSD world... the mail appeared to come from a web mail server and the first link has the following lovely text:

portupgrade(1) | portmaster(8) -- which is more effective for large upgrade?
Greetings, I haven't upgraded my tree(s) for awhile. My last attempt to rebuild after an updating src && ports, resulted in nearly installing the entire ports tree, which is why I've waited so long. Try as I might, I've had great difficulty finding something that will _only_ upgrade what I already have installed, _and_ respect the "options" used during the original

neatmap - draw.dendrogram - help!
Hi all, I'm having a problem where by I'm trying to use the NeatMap draw.dendrogram function as it is more versatile in placement/direction of dendrograms, instead of the limited plot function. Using plot I can get my dendrograms to display the species name for each leaf of the tree. But I cannot figure out how to make this happen using draw.dendrogram.. genetic<-
