symmetric dotplot? (Wilkinson 1999, Am Stat 53 (3) 276-281
DeaR all, The stripchart function (graphics) is provides jittered and stacked univariate scatterplots, but I wonder if anyone has implemented a *symmetric* version of this - as in the lower panel of Wilkinson's paper: http://www.jstor.org/stable/2686111 I have looked through several functions in contributed packages that do similar things, but not found one that can do this. What am I missing? Thanks! Paul -- View this message in context: http://r.789695.n4.nabble.com/symmetric-dotplot-Wilki...

Sharing a caching NFS mount with samba?
I am trying to set up a caching link between two points, that can be shared with windows and *nix. In both locations, I have linux-based servers with data, which have caching NFS mounts (that is, mount -t nfs -o fsc, with cachefilesd). These mounts are working correctly and I have tested the cache locally to much success. What I have not been able to get working is sharing those mounts with

stability of using scheduled workers
Hi, Going through the archive, and just keeping a general watch on this list seems to indicate that there are some issues using scheduling with backgroundrb. I need a worker that will perform some actions on an hourly interval. These actions will require access to several of the models in my application. I am currently using backgroundrb to handle processing of files, where I spawn a worker to

Kerberos in OpenSsh 2.9.9p2
...#39;s patch to MIT Kerberos - so I'm having a go at fixing them (my GSSAPI patches need to use the KRB5 define too :-) If I package these fixes up and submit them, is there any likelihood of them making it into the portable code (suitably #ifdef'd, of course)? I'd also like this to work in general, not just for passing plotting parameters. Let me know if I haven't been clear.
