FW: Dropping clients between songs
Actually, it was a coincidence that it was between songs... after trying again, my Winamp list the stream, and I looked in the icecast.log file and saw this: [03/May/2001:19:34:43] [8:Source Thread] Kicking client 11 [192.168.1.4] [Too ma ny errors (client not receiving data fast enough)] [listener], connected for 2 m inutes and 9 seconds, 1866136 bytes transfered. 0 clients connected Is this

access denied error with rsync 2.5.1
Hi. I have several Linux machines running the Debian unstable distribution. Until recently I used rsync version 2.4.6 without any problems, but after upgrading to version 2.5.1 (using apt-get) rsync fails. The command that produces the error is run on oldmill (128.135.72.4): rsync -av --password-file=/etc/rsyncd.pw armada::rsync /backup/armada/home/ And the error is: @ERROR: access denied to

Difficulty creating Julian day in data frame
...can see, the "temp.date" column behaves as expected, but the "julian.day" column is populated with the Julian day value from 1/1/1916. Please help me out if you have some ideas. Samba + Winbind : Kerberos Tickets
...hrough useful, or not so useful, information. We really need an accurate recipe for installing Samba, all its dependencies, including Winbind (or alternative), having this domain joined, and supporting Windows File History. Can anyone of the core Samba team members point our way through the "wilderness"? ;-) To either a very up to date, very accurate, bash script that has every step detailed, or a document that has been tested recently that works flawlessly? This would be very helpful. We're excited to see the prospect of a distributed Samba cluster working across several AWS regions,...

Compile R to WebAssembly / Emscripten?
Has anyone attempted to compile R (probably without any OS bindings) to WebAssembly / Emscripten? If so, how far did you get? (would be crazy awesome if you could get all the way to a ggplot bitmap output). If not, is this a waste of time or is there some daylight to doing this? [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

documentation on modifying the configure script
On second thought (unless someone is fantastically charitable), I suppose I need to seriously concentrate on modifying the current configure script to work with the current AIX operating system and compiler. Compile R to WebAssembly / Emscripten?
As I recall, the major blocker is that R links against a number of other things (notably BLAS, pcre, etc) so while technically possible (?) I suppose, the universe of things you'd have to compile over and then get working is much larger than just the R internals. I think most people who consider this (including me years ago, as well as the poster of Gabor's message to rdevel) hit that

multiple instances? Updated
Hello, Thomas_B._Rücker, Initially I was asking for a working example file with more than one stream instance. Something that I can take as an example to work from. I've not gotten that yet, despite posting 2 config files; both that came with the install package. Trust me, if there were other choices for streaming servers than just icecast and shoutcast; I'd be running there to see if
