When Upgrading Wine
So, version .16 has come out and I wouldn't mind upgrading. The thing is, I have to patch my Wine source code for a particular game. I guess I have to remove the Wine version I have now, patch the .16 and compile the source code? If there is another way, please let me know. Though, my main question is if I uninstall Wine, will it take thing installed with it; I mean, does .wine still exist

Dell R515 with PERC H700 - JBOD?
Hello, I'm curiuos if anyone knows if it's possible to set up a Dell R515 (which has PERC H700) to be JBOD. It seems the only options are RAID0 or RAID1. I read posts, where people say it can by done by making each disk its own RAID0.? This works, but it wigs out when that disk is removed, and forgets a disk was ever there (unless I go back in the PERC and fix it). My plan is to have a system where I can remove and replace the drives regularly, while the system is on/running.? I do this on a SuperMicro, but wanted to migrate this server to a Dell. I tr...

RE: Missed interrupt. Increasing latency to 5 ms in orderto compensate.
...Behalf Of Jamie J. Begin Sent: June 10, 2008 1:12 PM To: xen-users@lists.xensource.com Subject: [Xen-users] Missed interrupt. Increasing latency to 5 ms in orderto compensate. I am using pciback to pass a Digium PCIX analog telephony card to an Asterisk domU. Switching to dovecot LMTP appears to have change the information in the received header, which appears to be causing my spam filter to wig out and mark local to local emails as spam. RSEIS could you help
I have dissolved oxygen traces that are continuous (fifteen minutes) for two years (save for a couple of days, weeks, or minutes there depending on the perogative of the river). These traces are spaced out by river mile. I have figured out how to prepare data as to the sunspot example, but I can not figure out how to get multiple traces into the prepSEIS function and this is the warning that I

SANE 2004 Free Software Bazaar
We (the NLUUG) are organising a conference in Amsterdam this September. During this SANE conference we have reserved an evening for a Free Software Bazaar. We invite many people to participate in this gathering of Free and Open Source software groups. The name "Bazaar" obviously originates from Eric Raymond's article: A place where software developers gather. A unique opportunity

Polycom: full caller ID?
Hi, all. When I get calls on my SoundPoints, I only see the number -- is there a way to get the alpha portion of the CID, as well? Thanks! -Ken -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.

Phantom Rings
I'm having a major problem at one of my branch offices with "Phantom Rings" on their asterisk-based phone system. The system was originally built using 2 X100P cards and was recently upgraded to a Rhino R4FXO-EC card. The upgrade severely increased the frequency of the phantom rings. I've read everything I can find on-line about automatic testing and noise on the line and

Unexpected behaviour in reading genomic coordinate files of R-2.7.0
Great R people, I have noticed a strange behaviour in read.delim() and friends in the R 2.7.0 version. I will describe you the problem and also the solution I already found, just to be sure it is an expected behaviour and also to tell people, who may experience the same difficulty, a way to overcome it. And also to see if it is a proper behaviour or maybe a correction is needed. Here is the

5.1 surround channel coupling
It obviously would be nice to have such a mode available, for e.g. DVD audio compression. Apparently, the list doesn''t tell me too much about it. My questions are: 1. What is the current status of the 5.1 channel coupling in Vorbis? 2. If I''ll be interested in participation in its development, what is the recommended reading? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

ssh(1) multiplexing rewrite
Hi, At the n2k10 OpenBSD network hackathon, I finally got some time to clean up and rewrite the ssh(1) client multiplexing code. The attached diffs (one for portable OpenSSH, one for OpenBSD) are the result, and they need some testing. The revised multiplexing code uses a better protocol between the master and slave processes and I even bothered to write it up :) It tracks the control sockets
