Node to Node UDP Tunnels HOWTO?
Hi all! I still have never managed to fully wrap my head around how UDP data tunnels can be established between nodes. Everytime I think I understand it, I see something that confuses me again Just now I am seeing the following: I have nodes A, B + C A has everybody's keys and host configuration files. B and C only have A's key, and host config with A's public IP address. B and

Advertising a Public IP address
Hi all I feel like I should know the answer to this question, like I read it someplace sometime, but it evades me right now. It's also an opportunity to say hello to the list and many thanks for writing and supporting tinc vpn! We make great use of it at rhizomatica. So, Let's take this example setup. I have two tinc nodes (A and B) behind a firewall NodeA and NodeB have 192.168.1.2

Winbind data (getent) not persistent?

This caused me a big problem early on because I got locked out of my system. Is this a bug with winbind or am I missing some configuration option on my system? Thanks, Brian Whyte

...web based system and / or a mailing list. Of course, if there's interest enough in a particular geographic region, CAVU could form regular or non-regular meets to achive our common goals and maybe share a few laughs and war stories. If anyone's in Edmonton, for example, let's go down to Whyte for a few beers. It is proposed that this association be a loose, ad-hoc association without too much formal pomp and circumstance. It is further proposed that meaningful work or recommendations produced by CAVU be forwarded to CAVP for presentation to regulatory bodies in a formal fashion. As...

I have a two instance setup, and have been finding that after a network error occurs, the instance does not reconnect. The source server is behind a linux NAT box. I have simulated the problem by using iptables REJECT with tcp-reset and here is the

S4 group generic with additional argument
Dear R-help, I am attempting to set the "Summary" group generic function for my S4 class. Using the standard arguments, this is easy. The function returns the result of the generic for every element in a list: ? setClass("TestClass", representation(elements = "list")) ? tc <- new("TestClass", elements = list(a = 1:5, b = 6:20)) ?
