It appears to me that there is some problem with the way Icecast 2 streams MP3 that blows up Real Audio. I am streaming mp3 to an Icecast 2 server. The stream works well with Winamp, xmms, and Windows Media Player, but Real Player runs for a couple seconds and blows up. The newest Linux version doesn't blow up, but emits a sharp scratching noise about every 2 seconds.
