ext3 from whithin W2K
hello everyone,
in the past I used an utility to gain access to my ext3 filesystem from
whithin W2K, I recall that the access was very restricted in terms of modes.
Now I'm looking for that tool (of which I cannot remember the name at all)
or, better, an unlimited one.
Does anyone help me in this seeking without finding? In particular, does
anyone know of a driver which present me the...

There are thousands of lines from multiple GPS so date time might be

Any ideas how to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance

Rate limits whithin rate limits
Hi all,
I''m sure I''m soing something wrong here.
I am trying to set up a rate limit inside another rate limit.
eg. I have a 512K rate limit on a particular VLAN. I am using an IFB so
that packets passing through the bridge are counted at each port.(ie the
throughput is limited to 512K, not just the traffic in one direction.)
This part works OK, but I also want to limit a

Wine securityflaw.
...it off-topic)
I had some more thoughts on the issue...
I believe most wine users trust wine not to touch anything outside of
its configured drive space. Malicious Linux/Unix syscalls could be embedded
in windows apps and if executed do a great deal of damage. After all checking
your app is run whithin Wine is not that hard (reading registry settings for
instance). Lets call such an malicious app a wine-virus from now on.
At present a wine-virus would even be allowed to fork itself, leaving the wine
environment and continue to run even after you shutdown the wineserver, and
in some cases even...

xyplot() and controlling panel.polygon()
Dear R-helpers,
How do I tell panel.polygon what greoup and panel it applies to whithin

[LLVMdev] question-TUD, germany
...over all
the instructions in a basic block.
i will explain this with an example:
i=p+4;
j=i+p;
in the above example i mean p,4,i,p which are on the
RHS are operands and the terms i,j which are on the
LHS are users.
so what i mean is:
is there any chance to find whether a value is used as
an user whithin the instructions of a basic block
without iterating over all the instructions and
(variables in instructions) in that block.

Problem: permissions for removing a file in a file system mounte d by smbmount
...fter
looking through the 2.0.7 announcement, it appears that the problem has not
been addressed there).
Consider the following case: I mount a share from an NT server on a Linux
box, which I then use at the Linux box. I create a file on that partition
and remove its write permissions. This happens whithin a directory which
does have write permission. When I now want to remove the file, it does not
work, but I rather get an error message that I don't have the permission for
that. (When I set write permissions for the file again, then I can remove
the file.)
I think this is not consistent with th...

[LLVMdev] Question about compiling LLVM through cross-compiler for ARM
Hi All,
I'm trying to compile clang+llvm on my desktop with cross-compiler to be
able to work with llvm commands in ubuntu-arm image whithin gem5.
If anybody has done this before I'd be so thankful to know the exact
process and commands. I tried to configure llvm as follows but I couldn't
get the arm-arm version correctly. To sum up, I need to cross-compile llvm
for ARM to work in gem5 through the ubuntu image for ARM systems....

Issues when using interaction term with a lagged variable
Hi there!
Today I tried to estimate models using both plm and pgmm functions, with an
interaction between X1 and lag(X2, 1). And I notice two issues.
Let "Y=b_1 * X_1 + b_2 * X_2 + b_3 * X_1 * x_2 + e" be our model.
1) When using plm, I got different results when I coded the interaction
term with I(X1 * lag(X2, 1)) and when I just saved this multiplication X1 *
lag(X2, 1) in a

Cox model approximaions (was "comparing SAS and R survival....)
...y, both "discrete" option and "exact" functions assume "true"
discrete event times in a model approximating the Cox model. Cox partial
likelihood cannot be exactly maximized, or even written, when there are
some
ties, am I right ?
In my sample, many of the ties (those whithin a single observation of
the
process) are due to the fact that continuous event times are grouped
into
intervals.
So I think the logistic approximation may not be the best for my problem
despite the estimate on my real data set (shown on my previous post) do

Discriminating between experiments with xyplot (lattice)
...out which curve
belongs to which experiment. (An example with artificial data of the
structure I use is given below. It shows three experiments where two
experiments at temp = 250 but press = 1 and press = 0.5 are plotted within
one group.)
My question is: Is there a way to identify which curve whithin the same group
belongs to which experiment, e.g by plotting a label like the experiment
number to the end point, or by choosing different symbols for the different
experiments - while keeping the color encoding of the groups?
Your help is greatly appreciated!
Best regards...

Powerpoint and modification time
...he list, so please be patient with me.
Samba 2.0.7 is running on a compaq alpha server es40 with
tru64 4.D.
We got a problem with powerpoint files on a samba share.
As soon as I open a powerpoint file on a samba share the
modification time of the file changes, even if I'm not
changing anything whithin the file. This only happens if
I open *.ppt files which where created by others.
We got the same problem with excel files, but this stopped
after setting the option
dos filetimes = yes
in the smb.conf.
The modification time still changes with opening an excel file
but as soon as I'm not changin...

[PATCH] random SSH_MSG_IGNORE packets
Hi!
The following patch adds ability to configure the ssh client to
send SSH[2]_MSG_IGNORE packets of random length at random times
whithin a user-specified interval. The function is configured by
setting the config-file options BogusTrafficIntervalMax and
BogusTrafficIntervalMin, which defines the interval in seconds in
which the packets are randomly sent. It is disabled by default. It
suffices to set the Max value to enable the funct...

dual athlon mp. X11 forwarding fails and ssh disconnects in the LAN when trying
to resolve the host by using DNS servers. For example if you try to connect
whithin your LAN to your host computer running sshd. (assume that your host has

refocus on text_field
I have this textfield that appears as a drop down section whithin a form
when a link is clicked - so it is it''s own partial. The idea is that a

need the cursor to re-focus on that text field so lots and lots of
values can be inputed without having to reclick on that field everytime....

You can iterate over the uses of a value by using the iterator returned
by Value::use_begin. Then you simply check whether the use is an
instruction and if so if...

Now it works quite nicely, and I can get back to my term paper!
So, if anyone else runs stuck similarly, the moral is: don''t try to save
on configuration time by putting everything straight into /cgi-bin/! So
long as .htaccess files are enabled, anywhere whithin DocumentRoot is a
right place.
