Whither Goest Wine?
It seems that fewer and fewer favorite programs run with wine. Stuff that ran 100% on older builds crashes out on the newer ones with elan. There needs to be (more) regression testing. However, damage has already been done and propagated and needs correction simply to get back to the previous level of operability.

Whither LM87 sensor driver?
From my reading of the Linux Kernel mailing list, it seems that the LM87 sensor driver made it into kernel 2.6.8. Anyone know why it is not present in the RHEL4/Centos4.2 current kernel? Thanks.

Whither asterisk-addons?
I noticed that asterisk.org got a redesign, quite recently it seems, which is very nice, but the addons package isn't listed for download any longer, nor are releases posted to http://downloads.asterisk.org/pub/telephony/ . That said, looks like it's still available in svn, http://svnview.digium.com/svn/asterisk-addons/tags/1.6.1.1/ . So just wondering if addons will be around for

Whither app_nv_faxdetect
Anyone know where the sources for app_nv_faxdetect officially live? I couldn't turn them up on a web search, just patched versions for 1.4, etc. Thanks.

Whither virt-inspector packaging?
Looking at epel-testing, while libguestfs-* 1.0.57-2 is available, virt-inspector does not appear to be. http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/rpms/libguestfs/EL-5/libguestfs.spec?view=markup shows the virt-inspector bits commented out, and http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewvc/rpms/libguestfs/EL-5/libguestfs.spec?view=log doesn't appear to have an explanation. Wuzzup? :)

I'm not sure I get what you mean. gcc defaults to no EH data, you need -fexceptions to turn it on. g++ defaults it to on, because it knows the front-end. You think we should have llc

Whither SYSLINUX
SYSLINUX is certainly useful. I currently start Debian from their standard boot floppy, which uses SYSLINUX. I found it very easy to edit syslinux.cfg for ide-scsi setup. Surely the future lies with bootable CDs and floppy images specifically designed for them. Maybe there should be a combined SYSLINUX / ISOLINUX package which allows you to specify Floppy Emulation or not. But if you invent a

Whither/whether -mtune support?
Hi All, I've gotten a few notes over the last few months and also given some of the recent changes to various backends to "update" the default tunings for a generic processor it made me think again about adding support for tuning to a processor rather than generating processor specific code - hence, mtune. I hope this is rather uncontroversial, but happy to discuss at length if

Predictions from the Segmented Package
Hi, I would like to calculate the area under segmented regression lines (single breakpoints). I had thought that I could do this using the predict() function to ascertain some key x y values in order to determine the dimensions for two trapezoids (under each segment of my regression). However, I've not had any success with this and have just read online that the predict function does not work
