Failed to establish your Kerberos Ticket cache due time differences with the domain controller
...out deleted items (I had recently demoted a DC after the pi-dc was joined) but these were repaired with the --fix option. I tried the samba-tool time commands afterwards with the same result. I also had to clean up all the DNS records as the demote command doesn't tidy things up properly.
Whist this is a new domain provision with v 4.8.3, the machine has had versions going back to 4.7.4 compiled and installed (albeit with different domains). I used make uninstall on the last version of samba before installing 4.8.3 if that makes any difference. I checked for that time.py file and it...

extraneous mail folder created
...en = yes
list = no # for v1.1+
}
namespace private {
separator = /
prefix =
location = dbox:/var/mail/%u/mail
}
This all seems to work with the exception that when a imap client attaches to dovecot an empty folder called 'mail' is created in the users home directory. so for client jenni, whist all her emails etc are stored in /home/mail/jenni/ for INBOX and /home/mail/jenni/mail/ for folders etc, an empty folder is created as /home/jenni/mail/
Any help appreciated

Can anyone recommend a company that does professional Asterisk

Print queue show jobs when queried from windows, nothing in cups
We have a print server running RHEL 4, w/ samba-3.0.33-0.15.el4
When viewed from windows, one queue on the system has the "remains" of 264
print jobs - some dating back to April, but I can't find where the
information is coming from. Apparently the jobs print fine, but then the
information sticks in the queue information.
Running lpq on the Samba system shows:

The Samba wiki is just that, it is a wiki about using Samba. Whist it
touches on using Samba with a Windows AD DC, it is not a Windows wiki.
If you are going to continue using a Windows DC, then you really should
use Windows documentation for this, for whilst Samba is trying to
become compatible with Windows, it isn't quite there yet.

XEN - Broadcom issue: survey
I totally agree with Luc Boudreau about this problem.
On modern branded server they ALL use Broadcom chipset... I must admit that:
a) lot of people are experiencing the problem but can tolerate it
or
b) someone already experienced this problem and solved it
Lets'' approach the problem pragmatically... just start with a survey on
the list. ... hope we solve this issue soon.
