Hi,
I was using xmms for a whie but it is inconvenience so i want to switch
to beep media player. However, i can not find this media player in

Converting from char to POSIX:
...:21" "30-1-08 8:55:17" "30-1-08 9:00:22" ...
I do:
> delme3 <- strptime(delme2,format="%d-%m-%y %H:%M:%S")
But then:
> str(delme3)
POSIXlt[1:9], format: "2008-01-30 08:48:21" "2008-01-30 08:55:17" ...
> length(delme3)
[1] 9
whie
> delme3[1065]
[1] "2008-06-09 18:25:46"
Where does the length 9 come from? How is it that I can get the 1065th
element of delme3 if the length is just 9? How can I get a vector of
POSIX elements with the same length as delme2 so that I can put it in a
data.frame?
Thanks!

[patch] Memory leak from namei_zone in an error path in nfsrv_rename
...-
From an NFS client running the following cmds against a 4.6.2 FreeBSD
NFS server mount will cause the memory leak:
$ mkdir a/b
$ while (true) do
> mv -f a a/b/
> done
Again running the following cmds against 5.3 or 6.1 FreeBSD NFS server
will cause the leak:
$ mkdir -p a/b
$ cd a
$ whie (true) do
> mv . ../a/b/
> done
There are many other ways to reproduce it, but these are trivial test
cases I could come up with.
Patch to fix the problem :

I'm trying to compile Samba 2.2.0 on a RedHat 7.1
based system. The configure runs fine with the
following options:
./configure --with-dfs --with-quotas --with-pam --
with-vfs --with-acl-support
When I try to compile it it runs for a whie with no
problems but when it gets to "passdb/pass_check.c" it
runs into a problem and stops compiling. truncated
output below:
Compiling lib/util_list.c
Compiling locking/locking.c
Compiling locking/brlock.c
Compiling locking/posix.c
Compiling passdb/passdb.c
Compiling passdb/smbpassf...

Yager on ZFS
Not sure if it''s been posted yet, my email is currently down...

Interesting piece. This is the second post from Yager that shows
solaris in a pretty good light. I particularly like his closing
comment:
"If you haven''t checked out ZFS yet, do, because it will eventually
become ubiquitously implemented
