V-value in the wilcox.test resp. wilcox.exact
...x.exact(x, mu=.5)
Exact Wilcoxon signed rank test
data: x
V = 207, p-value = 0.0006905
alternative hypothesis: true mu is not equal to 0.5
the way i understand the wilcox.test (or wilcox.exact) the V-value
represents the summed up ranks of either the positive or negative
differences, whichever sum is BIGGER.
to actually look up the p-value in a table (and to quote it in a
publication) i need the T value, which to my understanding is the summed
up ranks of either the positive or negative differences, whichever sum
is SMALLER.
so i guess my question is: how do i get the T-value

10 year old question
Thank you for that. I?ve set up the thinstation-v5.6.1.iso in vm and setup the chroot. I did my first ./build ?allmodules and wrote the iso to usb using lili version 2.0 so that I can boot with older syslinux. I am doing this for the needed hardware profile to build from inside the vm however the usb has been stuck on the syslinux version line with a line following: Thinstation..... for 30 minutes

...3. Generally speaking, replies should be sent to the Syslinux mailing list's
email address (not to private email addresses). Unfortunately, there are
several reasons and circumstances that make this less intuitive than it should.
Yet, please pay attention.
4. Regarding Unetbootin, LiLi, or whichever other tool that is being used in
order to initially boot whichever distro's ISO / installer, the version of
SYSLINUX and/or ISOLINUX that they use should not be relevant for the purpose
of installing a specific version of SYSLINUX as bootloader on the destination
device. To be clear, I do...

Asterisk and Zaptel for 2.6 kernel
...39;s PBX. We run SuSE here and like it and our asterisk test
platform is SuSE 9.0 with the 2.4 kernel.
Is anyone running * and the zaptel drivers under SuSE 9.1?
With the 2.6 kernel?
Is * 64-bit safe (i.e. no 32bit assumptions in the code) so I can run
it on an AMD Opteron in 64-bit mode (with whichever kernel is
acceptable)?
Thank you!

Park & No Announce?
We're using Grandstream GXP-2000 with programmed buttons to the first 5
parking lot extensions. When a call is parked, whichever parking lot
extension it's parked on lights up red. We've never used the "announce"
part and I'm wondering if there's an option I can't seem to find to
disable the announce so the transfer happens faster.
Thanks for any help,
Ken

Is the matter related to the png format of the background?
In other words, if, instead of png, I choose LSS16, should it work
with menu.c32 (in v3.86 or v.4.07) with this same syntax?
Or, is the second parameter syntax itself not available for menu.c32
(and/or in CLI) whichever the format of the background?
TIA,
Ady.

Multiple Instances Of backgrounDRb
...tup like:
/home/subdomain2/current
accessed at subdomain2.domain.com
I have backgrounDRb running to update a cache of RSS files.
Is there a way to get all instances of the app to share the single
backgrounDRb - or should each app start it''s own backgrounDRb (rake
backgroundrb:start)? Whichever is the best way - how do I do it?
I have tried starting a second instance of backgrounDRb in subdomain2,
but it never seems to start more than 1.
I have tried just running a single instance in subdomain1, but it
doesn''t appear that app in subdomain2 can get at it.
Thanks!!!

After reboot of web-server accessing website shows "Forbidden", restarting httpd all is fine
...eared and so the service
inherits the current context, usually unconfined (which is wildly
wrong). Sometimes doing it this way is useful, but not often and when
it is one can invoke the service's init script directly.
So even before SELinux (or with it disabled) a mere "/sbin/service
whichever start" does not always suffice. But building a boot
environment is a bit tedious, you'd almost want some command to take
care of that for you -- alas none exists. However the boot environment
is usually very simple, which can be approximated with something like:

As an active package maintainer I strongly believe in idea that
software should use system packages as much as possible. The reasons
are:
- embedding libraries makes project bloating and the build system
more complicated.
- package maintainers tend...

PC EU feedback: ability to remove all unmanaged resources
...ll this the "agent orange" option :)
This works, purging all unmanaged hosts entries:
resources { ''host'':
purge => true,
noop => true,
}
We should have a similar property for all (most?) types.
Please comment on the ticket or reply here, whichever you prefer.
Thanks!

P.S. This is in response to feedback from my "Improving the Puppet
DSL" session at Puppet Camp EU, 2011. This ticket isn''t a promise we
will take action, but we could very much like comment and discussion
from you good people.

another matrix question
Hi everyone,
I would like to do the following.
Given matrix m and matrix n, I would like to compute mn[i,,j]= m[i,,j]
+ n[i,,j] if either of these elements is 0. (In other words, whichever
number is nonzero.)
Else I want mn[i,,j]=(m[i,,j] + n[i,,j])/2
I need a fast method.
Thanks very much for any help.

simultaneous ring - call groups or queues or something else?
Hi, folks:
I need to be able to have a single DID ring multiple remote (IP and
PSTN) extensions, and then pass the call to whichever picks up first.
I'm sure this is old hat -- lots of providers offer it.
I see that Trixbox will do it, but it's not clear how it's doing it.
They use different terminology -- a "ring group" and "hunt strategy"
How can it be done with a straight Asterisk server?...

SEV, SEV-ES, SEV-SNP
When SEV is enabled in domcapabilities does that just mean any of SEV,
SEV-ES, SEV-SNP is possible on the hardware?
Similarly, does enabling SEV as a launchSecurity option in a domainXML mean
that whichever SEV is available will be enabled? And if the guest policy
has the ES flag set, it will not be created unless ES is enabled?
Sorry if these questions don't make sense or are ill-formed.
Best,
Derek
