Dynamic attributes!
...escription are pretty stantard. So each product will have this attributes. However, I wanted to know if it is possible to create dynamic attributes. In the case of a cell phone device I might want to store the IMEI of the phone, this attribute is useless if the product is a laptop. ...sponse variables(two differnet types of response variables). My boss might want to find out net effect of drug B, but I think we can not exclude the confounding effect of drugA. For example, it is possible that drug B has no effect, only has effect when drug A is present. I asked my collaborator whey she omitted the fourth combination drugA only treatment, she said it was expensive to measure methylation or gene expression, so they performed the experiments based on their hypothesis which is too complicated here, so not illustrated here in details. I am still not happy that they could just add...

Help with DRY: too much code in my view
I''m a newbie to rails, and really to the whole DRY and MVC thing as well, except where I accidentally fell into things doing it my own way in the past. I''ve got a fairly complex DB structure I want to create an interface for using Rails. Getting simple tables to display, edit, save, not too much problem there. But where I''m having trouble is figuring out where to

Destroying a SIP extension doesn't destroyvoicemail box?is this a bug?
Whey you 'destroy' a Sip extension you are only removing the entrys that allow you to make and receive the auth needed to do so. Your voicemail files are not tied to an extension but are independent and are only 'married' when you specify it in your sip.conf or other channel configs. Rem...

IPSEC VPN tunnel with dynamic DNS

What is the difference between prcomp and princomp?
Some webpage has described prcomp and princomp, but I am still not quite sure what the major difference between them is. Can they be used interchangeably? In help, it says 'princomp' only handles so-called R-mode PCA, that is feature extraction of variables. If a data matrix is supplied (possibly via a formula) it is required that there are at least as many units as

data analysis for partial two-by-two factorial design
David: I believe your response on SO is incorrect. This is a standard OFAT (one factor at a time) design, so that assuming additivity (no interactions), the effects of drugA and drugB can be determined via the model you rejected: For example, if baseline control (no drugs) has a response of 0, drugA has an effect of 1, drugB has an effect of 2, and the effects are additive, with no noise we

WinRuby?
Hi all, With the latest 1.8.6 release out today, I was wondering - what would you all think of a Windows-only fork of Ruby? I mean Perl has ActiveState, right? It ships with a slightly different interpreter and different libraries, so why not Ruby? Here''s what I''m thinking: * Win2k or later. No 95/98/ME support. No cygwin/mingw, either. * Assume VC++ 8. Use whatever
