Request for review: Sandboxing dhclient using Capsicum.
...individual description:
http://people.freebsd.org/~pjd/patches/dhclient_capsicum.patches
I'd appreciate any review, especially security audit of the proposed
changes. The new and most critical function is probably send_packet_priv().

Recover data from detached ZFS mirror
I''ve detached disk from a mirrored zpool using "zpool detach" (not "zpool split") command. Is it possible to recover data from that disk? If yes, how? (and how to make it bootable)

L2ARC and prefetched data.
...re:
FreeBSD users report much better performance and lower disk and CPU load
when L2ARC also holds prefetched data (l2arc_noprefetch = B_FALSE).
I was wondering what was the reason to avoid storing prefetched data on
L2ARC vdevs by default.

public key authentication and password authentication through PAM.
I wonder if this is a bug or something that won't be implemented for now
or if this is still WIP and I should be more patient?

...ll evp_aes_128_ctr to EVP_aes_128_ctr,
EVP_aes_192_ctr and EVP_aes_256_ctr respectively in ciphers[] array just
works (thanks to the fact that 'c->evptype == evp_aes_128_ctr' is no
longer true and IV is taken from cc->evp.iv)..

ZFS for Linux?
Hello,
A college friend of mine is using Debian Linux on his desktop,
and wondered if he could tap into ZFS goodness without adding
another server in his small quiet apartment or changing the
desktop OS. According to his research, there are some kernel
modules for Debian which implement ZFS, or a FUSE variant.
Can anyone comment how stable and functional these are?
Performance is a

Can I create a mirror for a root rpool?
On Solaris 10 If I install using ZFS root on only one drive is there a way
to add another drive as a mirror later? Sorry if this was discussed
already. I searched the archives and couldn''t find the answer. Thank you.

ZFS and TRIM
My google-fu is coming up short on this one... I didn''t see that it had
been discussed in a while ...
What is the status of ZFS support for TRIM?
For the pool in general...
and...
Specifically for the slog and/or cache???
