Question about the pop3 feature "leave messages on server for a certain period of time"
Hi all
I am missing something on the the pop3 "leave messages" rationale.
Although the UIDL feature solves for the MUA the problem "whch mails
should be downloaded",
how the duration that these mails should be kept on server, say 10 days
for one MUA and 20 days for another MUA for the same account,
is resolved on the server?
thanks in advance

[LLVMdev] Randomizing Functions & Global variables
By randomization of functions I mean the manner in whch they are called , so that has to do with address.I wish to randomize the order of calls made to functions when a program is run.

How would you "randomize the order of calls made to functions when a
program is run" without changing the semantics of the program?

pyramid.plot in plotrix, axis labelling

I guess the preferred method is to remove them and re-build them as you might in the base package, but I have no idea how to refer to them as there are two of them.
I have enclosed some sample data lifted from another example. I've scaled down the other labels using labelcex whch leaves the disparity in sizes that I'm trying to remove. I'd like something like this but with the x axis lables the same size as the y.

SSH-askpass - timeout possible?
Hello,
On my home PC, whch runs openssh with Jim Knoble's x11-ssh-askpass, I have
configured my Bash shell login script to prompt me for the passphrase. No
problem, however it waits during the login process for me to 'do something'
- i.e. enter a passphrase, cancel it or whatever. Is it possible to set a

Creating a bootable FS thats larger than 2880?
...msdos.sys /mnt/
cp io.sys /mnt/
cp command.com /mnt/
I'm basically following the instructions/example from ms-sys above.
I'm sure i'm just doing somthing stupid, i know that memdisk assumes that images larger than 2880 are a harddisk and i even tryed passing the floppy param (whch it did say floppy and not harddisk) but i continue to get errors when trying to boot.
Basically what i'm trying to do is create a bootable msdos fs so i can load Symantic Ghost. Ghost8 is now just a hair larger than 2880 and if i have to load any extra nic drivers it's even larger.

I mean if get_last_uid() returns for example 100, it means that UIDs 1..100 have been indexed by the FTS backend. It's possible that at this point there are already mails with UIDs 101..200 in the folder. So when UID=201 is delivered, index...

Regular point pattern on multi-segment line
I need your help for the following purpose :
I would like to create regularly spaced points on a multisegment line (a
'psp class' object).
A function of the spatstat library( = pointsOnLines() ) is dedicated to
that objective but the problem is that the probability of falling on a
particular segment is proportional to the length of the segment.
What about a solution using the whole

Change Data Point Label in biplot()
I'm a new user of R, and trying to display the result of a PCA data set
with biplot(). Biplot() draws the projections of data points to the
first two principal axis with a text level (I guess it is the name of
the data points). This makes the picture very crowed. I tried to go
through R documentation to figure out how to change the data point
labels to a symbol, say circle, triangle or cross

LibreOffice 4.0 on Centos 5.9
I've just installed LibreOffice 4.0.0.3 on my Centos 5.9 system. the
previous version (3.4.x) was working fine. But 4.0.0.3 won't start up.
When run from a terminal it prints:
no suitable windowing system found, exiting.
Is this yet another case of apps moving on beyond compatibility with
the older components in C5?
Or any hints for making it work?
Thanks!
