WLAN support
...not clear about that (the chipsets
are documented but how do I know which card is using what chipset
as the manufacturers doesn't really name the chipset?).
I've got a list of possible WLAN NICs and am wondering if somebody
has any experience using one of them with FreeBSD 4.x?
Netgear WG511 (Cardbus) or WAG511 (Cardbus, 5 + 2.4 GHz)
SMC 2802W (PCI) or 2835W (Cardbus)
D-Link DWL G520 (PCI) or DWL G650 (Cardbus)
Belkin 802.11g/+ (don't have a product name by hand, PN PCI:
F5D7000, PN Cardbus: F5D7010 - not yet on market)
All of these cards are 802.11g devices (54 MBit/s).

Netgear WG511v2 card and CentOS 4.4
Alle,
Does anyone have any experience with with Netgear WG511v2 cards and
V4.4? I read the post @

but the system doesn't even seem to see the card.
"/sbin/cardctl ident" shows no info on slot 0/1. "/sbin/modprobe

Custom kernel needed for ndiswrapper? (for Linksys WPC54G wireless pcmcia)
Greetings:
I'm just installed Centos-4 on an IBM T-21 laptop. So far so good. Now
I'd like to pop in a wireless lan adapter. I'm looking at a buying a
Linksys WPC54G adapter (although I haven't done so yet).
After doing some searching, it looks like the best way to get this card
working is via ndiswrapper [http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net] and then
to use Windoze

[Bridge] Misbehaving bridge...
I'm trying to bridge a wired network and a wireless network, but I'm
having some trouble. No traffic seems to be passing through the
bridge. When I issue a "showmacs" command to brctl, I am able to see
MAC addresses from both networks. I am also able to ping both networks
