LiveCD different sums but file size match

But when check the size file with the file size posted by johnny in the announce

They both match (in 717729792 bytes)
Probably I am doing something wrong, just to be sure before burn it.

Has anyone else run into this issue when running yum update?

octave
trying to install octave from epel onto centos 5.2, and getting
dependency errors. only place I could find this RPM was in epel, which
I 'thought' ran on native rhel5/centos5 without requiring any other
repos, but I guess I'm wrong?!?
google tells me libhdf5 is some sot of 'heirarchial data format'
library, whatever that means.

Desktop update (32 bit) from 5.2 to 5.3 - fuse & ntfs-3g-mount
I just finished updating my Desktop, from CentOS 5.2 to 5.3 (32 bit).
There were a lot of error messages (from sbin/ldconfig ?) about 2
files, in usr/lib/lib ending in .so "is not an ELF file - It has the
wrong magic bytes at the start." There were also a lot of messages I
believe have to do with SELinux. I'd read the Release Notes and
thought I was OK, since this box is dual boot

can't save files in 2.0.4
After upgrading from 2.0.3 to 2.0.4, my Office 97 users can no longer
save files to drives on my Enterprise 250 running Solaris 7. Other
methods(explorer, file manager, wordpad) allow writing to these file
systems, but office 97, Word in particular, is a complete no go. Anybody
else have this experience with version 2.0.4?

ms office and 3.3.1
I upgraded from 3.2.7 to 3.3.1 and am having the most peculiar problem
with Microsoft Office 2007 and samba shares. Users can open a share,
create, edit and delete files/folders with no problem. But when a user
opens a file on a samba share in any Office application, for example
Word, and clicks 'Save' then a dialog box opens: "Access denied. Contact
your administrator". This

Install R-patched_2006-07-13 on i386-pc-solaris2.10 with Sun Studio 11
Dear R-developers:
I'm trying to build a 64-bit R-patched_2006-07-24 on SunFire V40z with
on Solaris OS 10 64-bit kernel and using Sun Studio 11 compilers.
Everything runs OK until it gets to building package tools (all.R) where
it fails. Bellow is how I tried it (I can provide any other additional
