scp problem
...he firewall-bastion (NIC eth1 routed to eth2)
but not to the firewall itself.
The firewall-bastion host has no dns entry, could that be a problem for
scp but ssh keeps working?
When I scp -vvv form the client "Gutenberg"(192.168.1.110) to
192.168.2.199 I get the following output:
welz at Gutenberg:~ welz$ scp -vvv -i .ssh/id_rsa2Firewall

Executing: program /usr/bin/ssh host 192.168.2.199, user welz, command

SuSE 10 no network in dom0 - arp problem?
Hello.
I have installed the SuSE Linux 10 XEN kernel but no domU yet. Now I
cannot ping to and from dom0. I get lots of ARP broadcasts from dom0
but dom0 seems to ignore ARP answers. When pinging to dom0 it ignores
arp requests. This happens regardless xend is running or not. This
happens in the xen kernel only, when booting stock kernel all works
as expected.
What can I do?

nut-upsd on mac os
Hello.
I have an cheap seriell to usb adapter with the Prolific chipset
hooked on my mac, but I don't know which tty to configure. OS X
regognizes the device in its system profiler.
/dev/ttys0 seems wrong.
Can someone please enlighten me?
Thank you for your help!

I am writing "HOW-TO install and integrate ssh on Mac OS X" ... (Where can I publish it?)
...controllable in "System Preferences" without breaking Apple's original
OpenSSH implementation.
Can I publish this (for free) somewhere on the net? Maybe OpenSSH.org
itself is interested?
Thank you for an address or link to get into contact with some official.

randomness entropy in DomU
Hello.
I was just digging around in the net and found the thread
http://lkml.org/lkml/2006/5/12/103
So my questions: Are there any (good) news concerning the implementation
of /dev/random in the kernel?
I just cat /proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail
and saw I have about 250 in the DomU''s and 3500 on Dom0. I haven''t even
started to implement encryption for the different kind

external random hardware and entropy dispatching
...and the domUs benefit from that, too? OS is linux in each domain, the
random source should be /dev/random on each domU and dom0.
I have diffenerent Ideas of how to feed domU''s but having a central
scheduler in xen would be great.
Thank you for giving me insight,
Greetings,
Robert Welz

How to compile SSH on Jaguar (Mac OS X), technical question
...writing my HOW TO, im am getting closer
to isuue it.
I have just seen a file called:
/System/Library/Filesystems/AppleShare/sshHelper
I wonder what will break, if I disable Apples own OpenSSH
implementation. Would FileSharing not work anymore? Any workarounds
known?
Thanks for help,

Addition: How to compile SSH on Jaguar (Mac OS X), technical question
...ing not work anymore? Any workarounds
known?
I mean what will happen to Apple Share if I add a first line to both
sshd.conf and ssh.conf to create a syntax error to have both programs
not starting. I havn't used AppleShare yet and I don't know about it
and ssh.
Thanks for help,
