Can the hole, fixed in latest libvorbis version, be triggered via webradio?
Hello,
I'm talking about the following hole:
http://web.nvd.nist.gov/view/vuln/detail?vulnId=CVE-2009-2663
In Slackware 12.2, so far, the current libvorbis version is still 1.2.0.
My question is: I don't use ".OGG" files, but I regularly listen to a OGG webstream. Am I secure in this situation or could a corrupted webstream trigger the discussed bug?
Thanks in advance
Yours

osx client
Hi,
I'm looking for an open source client for icecast2 to run it on OSx
Leopard 10.5.8
I took a look at Nicecast but wasn't convinced by it.
Any suggestions?
Best regards,

...e situations with consumer-grade connections (e.g. running an ethernet cable to a Linksys WTG54 router for a 3+ hour remote broadcast of a live concert). It also has some additional features that come in handy in a pinch (i.e. archiving, etc).
We use Icecast2/Darkice on a linux box for our normal webstream, and, according to their site, Darkice does run on OS X. But I haven't needed to set it up on a Mac.
Good luck,
