C7, just updated firefox, bugs
...[snip]
I reproduced this 1. point. I also lost all my tab groups, ouch. This an
zillion extensions are not available anymore. I've just reverted to v52
and added an exclude=firefox line to the repo file in yum config :-), I
seriously don't understand how they could decide to switch to the
webextension thing like that.

Next major version of Firefox on RHEL/CentOS ?

mostly compatible, but the next release of ESR (60) has some major
changes - which include:
* No support for NPAPI plugins - except for Flash - i.e. no support for
plugins like Java etc
* No support for XUL/XPCOM/legacy add-ons - will only support
'WebExtensions'
* Requires gtk3 run-time support - which isn't available with
RHEL/CentOS 6 (currently Firefox for both el6 and el7 use the gtk2
run-time libraries)
I know it's a long shot, but I'm just trying to work out what changes I
will need to make when ESR 52 reaches its EOL in Augus...

I just updated the "critical" firefox update, and it is *seriously* buggy.
1. I killed my old session, and started a new. Many (all?) tabs show
*nothing* until I put my cursor in the URL bar and hit <enter>
2. I cannot open a link in an email in thunderbird. I click the link, and
after a bit (30 sec? more?) a small windows tells me that firefox is
running, but not responding,
