The Gnome weather report applet has ceased working on CentOS5/6. http://weather.noaa.gov/ says "This service is no longer available". Are there any good alternatives? I liked the applet as it allowed the use of a custom radar map. As I just discovered, the weather functionality of the CentOS6 Gnome clock applet was using the same service.

All, I am toying with an idea of using an AGI to be able to 'call' my phone, or phones, in case of severe weather warnings. I have weather data that was recorded every hour, and location data (X,Y) that was recorded every 4 hours. I want to know what the temperature was at location X,Y. The weather data isn't exactly at the same time. So, I have written this loop for every location to scan through the weather data looking for the "closest" in Date/TIME and extracting the data from that time.
