VXD's / WDMs in Linux
When writing a program like wine, I would assume the developers must
have a good understanding of both windows and linux. So, would it be
possbile to write a kernel module that could "emulate" windows'
driver-loading methods and use it to get support under linux for
currently unsupported devices?
I'm sure there are some good reasons... would it be possible to
explain what makes

VXDs under linux?
In order to write a program like wine, you must have a good knowledge
of windows and how it works. Would it be possible to write something
that would tell Linux how to understand VXDs or WDMs, or write a
kernel module that can use them? (I assume there is a reason it
hasn't been done yet, but I don't have enough understanding to know
why).
Thanks
