Quicken 2008
Is anyone successfully using Quicken??? I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 and Wine version 1.1.12. I have the program installed and many parts of it work. It fails at the program registration screen. [/img]

Hey Austin, I am having problem with Quicken 2008 as well. It installs properly. It even runs. However, after selecting a data file, Quicken immediately closes, all trace of it gone. Ideas?

This worked just fine. Quicken installed very nicely. Now, however, the programs loads and asked for a data file to open, when you select one and click OK, the program begins to go to the next screen then shuts down. Wonder what could cause that?

Accessing NTFS folders
Is there a way to access a folder on my NTFS partition? I have a dual-boot system and the Quicken data files reside on the NTFS partition. From Wine Configuration > Drives, I see no listing for the Windows partition even though the media is mounted on my Desktop. Thanks, Blair

Will give it a try. However the winetricks did allow that part of the program to run. It now freezes at the point you try to register the program. It would not respect the wine internet explorer, so i used winetricks to do the fake, then to actually install ie6. Ie6 is missing the menu bar. It also does not repond properly to Quicken's attempt to register the program. Without being able

Quicken 2008 Registration
I'm pretty dependent on Quicken. (widoze) I have a new install of Wine 1.1.14. Installed IE6 because Quicken would not work with built-in IExplorer. Program works pretty good. Many features require that the program be registered. I run Quicken then select On-line Registration from the Help Menu: blair at exercise:~$ wine c:\\"Program Files"\\Quicken\\qw.exe
