Cisco MC3810
...he MC3810? Does it work that way? Any other limitations
or gotcha's with this approach? (I'm new to this and want to confirm before I
go too far down this path...)
I found a couple of posts in the archive, but I wasn't sure if they were using a
T1 card in the MC3810 or not.
Thanks,

...de is that arithmatic
encoding takes more horsepower. Looking at some of the other encoders,
any of them that take alot of time to encode are almsot certainly
employing this technique. It might not be suitable for streaming, but
would be a very nice option for archival purposes.
Thats my 2 cents.

So basicly ogg and replay gain arent playing nice.
Using flac 1.1.1 btw.

...what I found worthwile. Lossless
compression has always been a hobby for me and I have no formal training
on the subject, so anything I can find to read is a great help.
I heard that Monky's released source a while back. I'll browse around
and take a look at his stuff when I get a chance.

Blocking and compression.
I did some research on patent claims on range and arithmetic coding. The
original range code pdf presented in the UK by an ibm employee at the
time asserts no patent claims what so ever. If there are patents I cant
find em. I have the original paper in PDF if anyone cares to see it. Its
a good candidate for encoding because browsing a few of the
implememntations avaialable on line, I can roll my

I second that. It's getting insane.

Guarding against starting same vm on multiple nodes?
...a suggestion that vdb
locks belong in higher level management tools, rather than xend... Would
that include tools like xm? Are there other tools that can take care of
management of vms across multiple nodes and protect against disk
corruption caused by starting the same vm multiple times?
Thanks,
Wayde.

It could be argued that the mean and variance is computed from the
