Pulver's WiSIP with Linksys WAPs
...ble network connection with those WAPs. This is regardless of Linksys WAP11 firmware, WEP settings, distance from WAP, etc. While walking down a hallway, I did notice that the WiSIP did start working. Upon further investigation, the phone as I had it configured worked wonderfully with a Linksys WAP54g. Has anyone had similar problems? Anyone know a work around to get the WiSIP to work with Linksys WAP11's? We are planning on getting rid of all of our Linksys WAP's and replacing them with another vendors, but right now I have no idea if the WiSIP will or will not interoperate with...

Wireless LANs and Asterisk
...We have and here are my impressions. We configured an Asterisk in the office as a precaution to see how it would work for our own retail customers. Our office is open space, about 800 sq ft. (20x40 area). We use Snom200 and Grandstream SIP phones. Using the latest Linksys wireless access point (WAP54g) and 3 wireless bridges (WET54g), I have found that it works most of the time with WPA encryption on, but will occasionally drop voice (loosing packets). With no encryption on the WLAN it seems to work without a hitch! Using a less CPU intense encryption such as 64bit WEP, things also work fine. Th...

wifi
I'd like to survey those on-list who actually use wifi SIP handsets. What type of wifi access point do you use? Are you happy with it? I presently use some older Linksys WAP54G APs. I'd like to replace these but in doing so I'd like to be moving in a VOIP friendly direction. I've yet to find a handset that I'd buy in quantity, but my last round of access points lasted >4 years so changing these now will merits the voip consideration. Thanks, Michael -...

Wireless Problem - no longer able to connect
Hi all, When I first loaded C6 on my Dell Inspiron laptop the wireless worked flawlessly right out of the box. At the time the wireless access point was a Linksys WAP54G using WPA-2 Personal. In the last two weeks that Access point has been replaced with a Linksys WAP610N, also using WPA-2 Peronal. The problem I'm having is the wireless adapter sees the new WAP just fine, but is unable to connect. I was wondering if there were any control files hidden somew...

Hitachi wip5000
Hi all, Saw on the net the wip5000 SIP wireless phone from Hitachi, a suprising rig. As anyone successfull in making it work with Asterisk? If so, how do you like it?
