Tutorial: Synchronize notebook and PC (German)

I know, there will be some mistakes and the script is not the best one, but it
runs perfectly here.
It is a >>Pre-Release<< for you. You can get a package of the tutorial in the
OpenOffice format within the two scripts (synclan and synclocal) at following

Question on "base directory"
Hi,
I've read the manpage, but I got a simple question on the expression "base
directory" used in the "exclude patterns"-section.
When I synchronize ie:
rsync -avzu /home/gregor/ notebook:/home/gregor/
and want to use an exclude-pattern: --exclude "/foo", what is the base
directory?
The manpage's explanation is following: --exclude "/foo" would
