Hi, I just installed CentOS 7 + GNOME on my Asus S300 laptop. So far everything runs very nice and smoothly, and I'm quite happy with it. Curiously enough, I can't seem to be able to set a custom wallpaper. I tried various locations like /usr/share/backgrounds, /usr/share/backgrounds/gnome and /usr/share/backgrounds/images, but the images don't appear in the wallpaper selection window. Any suggestions? I've recently set up two workstations running CentOS 6, one with an nVidia card and the elrepo drivers and one with an ATI Radeon card with the elrepo fglrx drivers. Both work well, but one aspect of the systems works different from CEntOS 5 on those systems: I cannot get a wallpaper image to span the two monitors. I have tried both with and without xinerama and there is no difference in this regard. The specified wallpaper is displayed on both monitors. Has anybody else run across this or a solution? Hello I have a question related to Samba + Win2k Workstations. I have replaced a Win2k server by Samba (2.2.4). Everything was fine: the users could login and access shares, but they could not connect to printers shared on another Win2k workstations and even could not change their wallpapers. Since I needed to do that work fast, the solution I could find to this situation was to give to all users admin privileges in their own Win2k workstations (it was a small network, so this could be done with no problems). Although that worked, I really think there?s another way of solving that...
