Hello samba gurus!!! I have samba-1.9.18p4 installed on Linux RH5.0. Ability to change the SMB password from a Windows 95 client is very fine, but if 'normal' user have no password and record in smbpasswd file apper like this user:uid:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:..... then no chance to change password from a Windows 95 client, and by using smbpasswd.

...-DFAST_SHARE_MODE The server is running security = user using encrypted passwords out of a smbpasswd file. Another quick Samba question: I've set up 4-5 shared printers. The smb.conf section on them looks like this: [las7] comment = HP LaserJet 4siMX in S181A path = /var/spool/samba postscript = yes printer = las7_direct printable = yes public = yes writable = no create mode = 0700 I want people to be able to print to these printers without having to supply a
