Data.frame manipulation
Hi All, I'm conducting a meta-analysis and have taken a data.frame with multiple rows per study (for each effect size) and performed a weighted average of effect size for each study. This results in a reduced # of rows. I am particularly interested in simply reducing the additional variables in the data.frame to the first row of the corresponding id variable. For example:

Row to Column help
Dear R Community, I am attempting to transpose a dataset from rows to columns but am stuck. I have tried using reshape() with little luck, possibly due to the categorical nature of the data. For example: id<-c(1,2,2,3,3,3) author<-c("j","k","k","l","l","l")

Bi-directional sync for Sysvol folder -- Osync?
Hi, I was thinking about bidirectional sync of sysvol and i've a question: ?What about DRBD?. You can create a disk partition in every node, create a DRBD cluster and then mount that partition on sysvol folder. The sincronization is bidirectional and in real time. For now i've not tested this option, but i've plans to start some tests. What is your opinion about this? Greetings!!

Bi-directional sync for Sysvol folder -- Osync?
Hello Min Wai Chan, ? Can you explain more about,, the DC1 will remove any emptey directory on DC1. tested it here, but that does not occure here. i can create empty directories on DC1, and these are synced to DC2. empty or not. ? ?DC1 will overwrite any users/group change on DC2? if setup correctly, your sysvol rights on DC1 and DC2 are the same.. ? i suggest you to the following. get the

OT: suggestion need on Sync in the windows way.
I agree, If the synology uid and gid is working right than nfs would be great. it would be easy... However, it seem that they have something else running under samba/nfs to control the permission on the files/folder... I would like to use bidir sync because I like some of the synology feature on remote sync and etc which is making remote access much easier compare to samba... But these sync

Connecting to live calls
Hi all, Is there a way to connect two live calls through the manager api without directing them to a meeting room? Currently, I can connect them by sending them to a meeting room. However, I don't know what the overhead is, and I kind of think that if I can connect them or link them up, the overhead would be minimum. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...

Sysvol replication with Unison for more than 2 server.
Dear Louis, Just to check... Would it be possible to have more than 2 DC using Unison to sync? I was trying to make this to the samba wiki. But when reading the list I see Rowland talking about the SID and RID issue Because of built-in group SID is not sync across domain. Which I think samba should have their own way of dealing this or it will just be a mess in a long run. Did we have any

Just some notes: For master <-> master setup (bi-directional sync) you need AFAIK a cluster filesystem. I have no idea how far this is supported w/ samab (ACLs, ...) Maybe a old tool related to drbd might be worth some testing too: http://oss.linbit.com/csync2/ Klaus ________________________________________ Von: samba-bounces at lists.samba.org [samba-bounces at
