PATCH: HPUX trusted system password checking
...Also on HPUX 10.20, xauth is not found at the standard location.
Perhaps this standard location could be changed automagically to
/usr/bin/X11/auth once HPUX is detected.
Please remark that I'm not on this mailing list, so please reply
directly to my e-mail address.
Best regards,
Dirk De Wachter

smbsh on HP-UX (SAMBA digest 1962)
...sh and not any of the subprocesses it runs. That is bash can cd into the
/smb directory and I can do an echo * to list files. But if I run a system
command (ls, emacs) they can't see the /smb directory because they aren't
linked with smbwrapper.so.

If you don't like it there for whatever reason, you can still place
a simple smb.conf file there with the one statement:

AMD64 bug
The theora_unpack_comment casts a pointer-to-int to pointer-to-long. This
is incorrect on AMD64, where ints and longs are of different size. On my
system (Debian unstable, gcc 4.1) this causes players to crash when they
reach the end of a movie. The patch below fixes this bug.

Samba, Apache, & NT
I am in need of authenticating a webpage hosted by Apache to an NT domain.
Apache is on a linux system running Samba 2.0.6. Is there anything that
allows Apache to communicate with Samba for authentication purposes?

Log file problems
...that is holding the removed file open. This drops the connections
to that smbd and causes problems to our application.
Is there any way to force the running processes ( smbd ) to switch log
files? Is there another answer to this problem that I have not seen? Any
help would be appreciated.

How to set Netscape enviroment on Samba home drive ?

You get this kind of stuff by default with roaming profiles.( ie
user.dat or ntuser.dat ) If you are referring to netscape 4 then just
point the profile to the home directory (mapped to a consistent drive

Bug#383793: libtheora0: not 64-bit clean
Package: libtheora0
Version: 0.0.0.alpha7-1
Severity: important
Tags: patch
The theora_unpack_comment casts a pointer-to-int to a pointer-to-long,
which breaks badly if ints and longs are different sizes. The attached
patch fixes this.
