apparent w2ksp3 problem
Believe me, I have tried everytbing I can think of to solve this
problem.
I will work my tail off to resolve this but I am fresh out of ideas.
Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Here are the details...
problem: server can see machines/shares on clients but clients cannot
see machines/shares on server
workgroup/domain: golgerth
no router

W2KSP2 vs W2KSP2RP1 - failed logon to Samba 2.2.6
...elete Client for Microsoft Network and add it again, workstation can
connect to the domain, but users still can not logon to the domain.
After I install SP2RP1.rus, I can login to the domain.
Is this bug? In this mailing list people say, that can not logon or
join to the domain in samba 2.2.5 with W2KSP3 or XPSP1. After this bug
(may be it MS bug) was corrected, appears another bug?

2.2.8a-1, Raidzone, filesize > ~17.6GB
I am working with a Raidzone tech to solve a problem with our Raidzone
NAS. The tech told me he has not yet posted to any Samba list about this,
and gave me permission to do so.
Using XCOPY from either NT4SP6a or W2KSP3, over varying network paths, a
file of 18,490,235K-1 bytes or smaller will copy to the NAS successfully in
about 45 minutes, but a file of 18,490,256K-1 bytes or larger will
fail. The failure occurs in about 7 minutes with a message on the Windows
computer of either "end of file reached&q...

Again problems with PDC
...m give me this error:
"cannot create user account since trust relationship with the PDC cannot be verified"
or something of this kind since I'm translating it from italian....
WHAT'S THAT ?????
P.P.S. I'm using samba 2.2.6 on a Mandrake Linux 8.2, I have got 6 clients using W2KSP3
P.S. The ccgm, ccgm-admin, satya, machine & guest groups are already set in the system groups file and all the user
(including Administrator and root are correctly set in the smbpasswd)

Win2K sp4 can't print
Hi,
I just installed 2 Win2K sp4 workstations on an otherwise working Samba 2.2.8a
network and 2 of the 3 printers are showing "Access denied". What's up with that?
The other computers that are working just fine are Win98, XP and Win2K NOT sp4.
Here is part of the global section:
