How to set the MTU size of VM interface
Dear all:
I start a VM with MTU size 1450, and login VM to check the mtu size, but this setting didn't work.
The VM xml is like this:
<interface type='bridge'>
<mac address='52:54:00:54:14:f8'/>
<source bridge='ovsbr1'/>
<virtualport type='openvswitch'>

need an *open* or a *route* forward mode. I have also shied away from using
openvswitch, and have opted for ifupdown2.
(I have taken most of my inspiration from this blog post:
https://joejulian.name/post/how-to-configure-linux-vxlans-with-multiple-unicast-endpoints/
)
Some questions that I have for the mailing list, any help would be greatly
appreciated:
- Is my target configuration of a KVM cluster uncommon? Do you see
drawbacks of this setup, or does it go against "typical convention"?
- Would my scenario be bette...

[PATCH net-next] virtio_net: add gro capability
From: Eric Dumazet <edumazet at google.com>
Straightforward patch to add GRO processing to virtio_net.
napi_complete_done() usage allows more aggressive aggregation,

udev rename NIC failed
Hi,
Sometimes, I found one of my Mellanox NIC renamed to rename6, instead
of eth1. The right names of NICs in my system should be:
eth0 Mellanox NIC
eth1 Mellanox NIC
eth2 Intel NIC
eth3 Intel NIC
eth4 Intel NIC
eth5 Intel NIC
eth0 and eth1 will combined as bond1 with mode 4. However, the current
names are:
eth0 Mellanox

[Bridge] [PATCH net-next 01/11] net: Add MDB net device operations
Add MDB net device operations that will be invoked by rtnetlink code in
response to received RTM_{NEW,DEL,GET}MDB messages. Subsequent patches
will implement these operations in the bridge and VXLAN drivers.

[Bridge] [PATCH v10 net-next 00/12] VLAN filtering/VLAN aware bridge
Changes since v9:
* series re-ordering so make functionality more distinct. Basic vlan
filtering is patches 1-4. Support for PVID/untagged vlans is patches
5 and 6. VLAN support for FDB/MDB is patches 7-11. Patch 12 is
still additional egress policy.
* Slight simplification to code that extracts the VID from skb. Since we
now depend on the vlan module, at the time of input skb_tci is

[PATCH] net: get rid of SET_ETHTOOL_OPS
Dave Miller mentioned he'd like to see SET_ETHTOOL_OPS gone.
This does that.
Compile tested only, but I'd seriously wonder if this broke anything.

[PATCH] net: get rid of SET_ETHTOOL_OPS
I think that it may be appropriate to submit this patch for linux-next
instead of 3.15-rc4...
