After reboot dovecot service need a restart. dovecot service starts as S99dovecot with only S99rc-local coming up. What I believe is happening is that Dovecot is trying to use the uid and gid of user1, who doesn't have a system account, rather than vuser's when writing to the virtual_mailbox folders. I have a few users who have ID's in NT domain and AD that contain apostrophes, such as O'Neill (fo'neill) , and O'Toole (go'toole). I've been trying to give them access to shares, but Samba doesn't seem to like this very much.
