The rsync daemon as a gateway service?
...n-routable network (or behind a firewall) I want to be able to tell the "gateway rsyncd" to "pump the connection" for the client: [module1] gateway 10.168.172.9 When I have peer rsyncd's I want to be able to redirect clients to the one with the data, for example on "vulcan" I'd install: [vulcan] <normal options> [terran] redirect earth.federation.org On "earth" I might install: [vulcan] redirect vulcan.federation.org [terran] <normal options> To provide a "read only" service to the Internet I could open a firewa...

Two "pre-migration" questions
...r. And the provider that I'm considering offers low-cost virtual dedicated servers but meters usage (including RAM and CPU). One of the reasons I have question #1 is that the server name seems to be part of the email file names... amead:/home/amead> ls mail/cur | head -2 2022292282.22297_0.vulcan.rootr.net:2,S 2022312282.3225_0.vulcan.rootr.net:2,S (rootr.net <http://rootr.net> is my current provider, not my vanity domain; vulcan is the name of their mailserver) I don't know what effect this will have, if any? Where are 2 letter language values defined?
I've googled for way too long, where are the 2 letter language values defined? I know: en = English es = Spanish fr = French but what about Croatian, Russian, Serbian, Vulcan, etc? Is there a list documented for Asterisk or is it "just use the 2 letter country code Internet TLD?" Samba + LDAP PDC on Gentoo
Has anyone got this setup running? Can you point me to a HOWTO? I'm stuck with a problem in "smbldap_tools.pm" when I do any kind of basic thing. I keep getting this error: ============================================================================ == vulcan root # smbldap-usershow.pl Administrator Can't call method "search" on an undefined value at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.4/i686-linux/smbldap_tools.pm line 595. ============================================================================ == Another thing that's puzzling me is the lack of...

Never used wine
I read (some) docs got my CD set to r: with unhide set and ran setup on a couple of CD's and it went well... Wacko? If there is a file that errors are written to I could check that. But the screens kind of went in to a "Vulcan mind meld" so it was hard to tell what was going on. But It didn't crash the machine, I'm using Fedora 2. Is there an installer I should be using instead of setup.exe? Is there a GUI front end to wine? I do have Win98 on another drive, I dual boot with grub, wine is not using that...

Crash in sieve_extprogram_create() after dovecot/pigeonhole update
Hi all. My dovecot setup: pf at vulcan:~ ? dovecot --version 2.3.0 (c8b89eb) on Arch Linux, x86_64 (full config here: [0]) uses sieve plugin to train rspamd system as described in the wiki [1]. winbindd
hi all, as i heard, i need winbind to connect linux-clients on samba. i installed this - without pam (in the hope this would work...) but this constellation seems to be needed, as i still cannot connect, even if winbind logs my domain as accepted. Do i really have to do the pam-configuration on the samba-server-side too?? i just thought, it was enough to authentificate against smbpasswd. is

In a multi GPU compute stack you have mostly all the data shared between different hardware devices. As I said before looking at just the Vulcan use case is not a good idea at all. [LLVMdev] "Name that compiler"
...e palace of Cnossus. There's also Hephæstus, God of smiths, builder of Helios's chariot, maker of Talos, Crete and Europa's guardian robot, and fabricator of the weapons of the Gods; or Lemnos, the island with his workshop. Unfortunately, they're not the easiest words to spell, and Vulcan, Hephæstus's roman name, is somewhat used already. ~ Scott McMurray

Bug#392109: bug in xen-utils
Package: xen-utils-3.0.2-1 Version: 3.0.2-3+hg9762-1 Hi, while trying to get xen work, I encountered two problems: 1. I don't know if its really an error, but I think something is messed up with the subdir-name /usr/lib/xen-3.0.2-1 because the version-number of the package suggests that it is an other version, than the subdir says. Every time when I call xm for example I get: WARING!

Brain-dead Grandstream BT102?
Following a(n apparently) failed attempt to upgrade a BT102, the phone is now brain-dead. Although it still has enough smarts to get a dhcp address and try to download the firmware and config, it never gets past the blue screen, nor will it respond to pings or port 80. Short of sending it back to Grandstream, is there any way to recover the phone? TIA Bruce Komito High Sierra Networks, Inc.
