Guaranteed bandwidth per connection
...on connecting to port X would get 10kbit/s guaranteed, the next connection to port X would also get 10kbit/s etc. Would be something like having N (the maximum number of connections) HTB classes, and put every new connection in another class. Does anyone know how to do that? Kind regards, Jeroen Vriesman. _______________________________________________ LARTC mailing list / LARTC@mailman.ds9a.nl http://mailman.ds9a.nl/mailman/listinfo/lartc HOWTO: http://lartc.org/

Hi, posted a message to the tinc list few days ago, but seems that there is not that much going on on that list, so I try here. The homepage of tinc says it compresses all traffic, but the manpage says that it only compresses UDP packets. Which one is true? Another thing, how much active development is going on with tinc at the moment? I see that "version 2" is mentioned. Or is there

NT and slow logon
Hi, still got the problem of NT slow logon, what am I doing wrong? This is the situation: Samba running on Unixware 2.1.1, SVR4 and RedHad. Win95 and smbclient in any unix works fine. A win NT machine sees the workgroup, but browsing to it takes a LONG time ( 3 or 4 minutes or so..) and when the machines appear ( redhat, unixware and SVR4 ) it again takes a lot of time to log on, after that

strange behaviour of "check password script"
Hi list, samba version: 3.0.23d-4 on debian etch. To enforce complex passwords I've added the line: check password script = /usr/local/scripts/checkpw Where checkpw is a script returning 0 if ok, and returning an error if not ok. The restrictions the script checks are: at least one uppercase, at least one lowercase, at least one number, at least one non-alphanum character and at least 8

Hi tincers, simple question, I've got a tinc vpn running over a connection which is sometimes very very slow. Now, on the homepage of tinc, it says "compression of all traffic", but in the man page "compression for UDP packets". which one is true? Cheers, Jeroen. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
