Thanks for the info, Michael. Just wondering if this code has been checked

[PATCH] Fix compilation of shadow mode debugging code
.... Most of the shadow mode code was fixed, but debugging
printks were not; this broke the compile if shadow mode debugging was
enabled.
The attached patch should fix the problem. Not tested with PAE enabled,
but it shouldn''t make anything worse than it already is.

newbie question on Xen booting
Hello every body,
I am installing the XEN on Fedora, and get some trouble when I boot XEN first
time. During the XenLinux booting, a error was issued "Warning: unable to open
an initial console" and then system booting stoped. Does any body has a clue on
the problem?

Grant-Table Enabled netif?
...arlier this month there was a patch posted for switching the network
frontend/backend drivers to using grant tables. The patch won''t apply
cleanly to the current tree. Is there an updated patch available? Any
word on how it works, or when it might be merged into the mainline?

Question about blocksizes
Hi,
can someone explain whats the meaning of the two blocksizes in the first
header of Vorbis, please?
So far I assumed that they meant that 2^b0 and 2^b1 were the only two
blocksizes used during
the whole encode, but something makes me believe they are not:
if b0 and b1 are 0xb8 respectively (that I interpeted as 2^11 = 2048
and 2^8 = 256) I observe 3 different deltas between each couple of

Xend, File Descriptors, and Children
...for this problem--it modifies
tools/python/xen/lowlevel/xu/xu.c to set the FD_CLOEXEC flag on
descriptors opened in that file. This only fixes the problem for
/dev/xen/evtchn and /dev/mem, since the other files are opened
elsewhere, but at least this allows xend to be restarted cleanly.

VM Remote access options
Just to error test my own thinking here, there seems to be the following
options for remote graphical access to a running domian vm. Besides the
normal network service via a port and a raw console, the options are
straight X, VNC, and XN.
X - supports a single X window running on a local XServer, tied to a single
process on the remote system. No remote desktop
VNC - comes in two flavors of

mac spoofing
Hi,
I have the following Problem:
My Rootserver stands at a hoster, I run a debian sarge and installed Xen
3 there latetly.
I booted the xen Kernel - everything ok.
However: when I started xend, the server instantly stopped responding.
My Hosters Support said, that was due to a sort of mac spoofing
protection in the switch, which disabled the Port, to which my server is
connected, because there
