PRIs from two different telco
My TE411p does not seem to like to have two PRIs from different telcos (span 1 and span 2). I can get one working, but not the other. However, if I use vpmsupport=0 when loading the wct4xxp module, they both work. But here is the problem, vpmsupport=0 disables the on board echo cancellation. Any ideas? BTW, here is zaptel.conf span=1,1,0,esf,b8zs span=2,2,0,esf,b8zs bchan=1-23 dchan=24 bchan=25-47 dchan=48 loadzone=us defaultzone=us

Disabling echo cancellation by software
Dear, I have Asterisk 1.6 with an E1 Digium card with echo cancellation module. So I need to use just the echo cancellation by hardware and disable the echo cancellation by software. I use DAHDI for my telephony hardware. If the lines involved with echo cancel are: In /etc/dahdi/system.conf: echocanceller=mg2,1-15,17-31 In /etc/asterisk/chan_dahdi.conf: echocancel=yes echocancelwhenbridged=no

TE121 - Idle system load at ~0.3 - Bad DAHDI 2.2.0.2 behaviour ?!
...dahdi: Telephony Interface Unloaded # sleep 60 # uptime 18:00:37 up 1 day, 4:15, 1 user, load average: 0.01, 0.10, 0.08 Extra information / question: A quick peek at https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=15498&nbn=18 also lead me to test loading the wcte12xp driver with "vpmsupport=0". The system load behaviour is exactly the same. Do you think it could be related ? How would you go about diagnosing this behaviour ? Thanks in advance. Kind regards, -- exvito

TE411P VPM
Does anyone know how to disable the VPM in software rather than removing the card altogether? The canceler isn't working as well as the software cancelers were. Aaron

HPEC > VPM ?
...exchanges. On calls to one particular number, if I turn the echo canceler off, the echo sounds as loud and clear as if the destination was actually echo(). With the echo canceler on, echo is still very pronounced. The echo tail is clearly longer than 16 ms. I even tried disabling the vpm module (vpmsupport=0 in base.c) and using oslec instead with a setting of echocancel=512. After a long convergence period, oslec seemed to do a slightly better job than the vpm module, but echo was still bad enough to make a conversation nearly impossible. My question for anyone with knowledge on this: would HPEC d...

Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 22, Issue 1
...n the Asterisk console complaining about "I'm set to pri_net, but the other side thinks it is pri_net!". Verify your switchtype... The Cisco should have a setting and you should set Asterisk in a similar fashion. Failing that I would try loading the wct4xxp module with the "vpmsupport=0" parameter to disable the voice processing module just to see if that helps (i.e. possible card issue), and failing all of that, I would contact Digium technical support, as the price of that card included technical assistance and it is this type of problem that is a great use of that sup...

Running Asterisk 1.6.2.9, DAHDI 2.3.0.1, CentOS 5.5 (update to date as of a week ago), I've installed a Digium AEX800P with 2 X400M FXO Modules and 1 VPMADT032 Module, hooked up to 5 analog lines. I get the error message referenced in the subject in my dmesg output everytime I load / reload DAHDI using the command "system dahdi start/restart". When I make an outbound call over

PRI Issue: D-Channel woes
Hi, I am about to pull my hair out after trying to get our PRI up and working. We are switching from a Cisco gateway to an Asterisk box which provides the 23 phone lines for our office. So, because the Cisco gateway is working I can assume I have all the settings right (b8zs, esf, dms100, etc) and the PRI is live (because we are switching over). When dialing from PSTN, I get busy signal. When
