Friday 2009-07-24 12:00 EDT: Voxeo Labs on VoIP Users Conference
Hi all, You may have heard yesterday that Adhearsion and Voxeo have created a new baby, Voxeo Labs. From our (non-biz) point of view, I'd recommend following the blogs: http://blogs.voxeo.com/ to see how what they do might be of interest to you and your asterisk/voip activities, commercial or private. Since I myself know little about what this all means,...

Is anyone on this list using Voxeo hosted vxml application services? Are they really doing $24 million dollars worth of business in hosted services per annum? I thought with that kind of volume I would have heard them being mentioned more often. Cheers, Dean -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment wa...

Ok, maybe not rule the world, but at least convince customers or users that you can do this for them at a reasonable cost. Great work from Voxeo Labs, come and talk to Chris on VUC Friday at 12 Noon EST: At around 12 Noon EST, call sip:200901 at login.zipdx.com in G722 wideband or see http://vuc.me for more info about Hope to hear you there? /r

Feb 19th @12 noon EST: Voxeo's Tropo
Hi, When Jason Goecke talks, VoIP ideas become reality, and this makes my day. On this call we?ll talk about the newest features in Tropo and how to get started with telephony apps in the cloud without adding new infrastructure. Here's a chance to speak directly to Jason (or JSON as we now call him) to ask your questions about VoIP cloud apps. Tropo is a cloud communications platform that to

Call Center
Hi All Has anyone used Asterisk for a Call Center operation? What I mean is: given a list of phone numbers, can Asterisk dial each number, play a message and accept some DTMF? I ask because I am an employee of a non-profit company based in San Diego, CA. I already evaluated Voicent and Voxeo. The former has expensive licensing terms and the latter is not best suited for a call center. I would appreciate your kind comments. Thanking you murthy

I struggled with the same issue...I could use the headset, but that's not very handy when you have to run to the pc to pickup or hangup a call! FW: Microsoft buys Tellme
http://deancollinsblog.blogspot.com/2007/03/microsoft-buys-tellme.html I thought I would email this post I made on my blog from yesterday as a way of stimulating discussion on this. VoiceXML + Nuance
Hello, Is there anyone who has ever done a setup of VoiceXML combined with some licenses from Nuance for the ASR/TTS engine within Asterisk ? I'm currently working with VoiceGenie, for the VoiceXML + ASR/TTS engine, but we are having a couple of issues which I guess are caused by VoiceGenie. If there's an alternative, it would be very interesting for us. Thanks, -- Eric Rousse

Will Asterisk do well in this application?
I have a customer looking for an automated way to provide his customers information. He found some windows software called Active Call Center - but I believe that he did the 40 day trial and it crashed his windows machine to much. So he wants something that can do a similar task running on linux. The Users expierience should go something like this One of his customers calls in the IVR asks
