Gluster 3.1.2 and rpc-auth patch
Hi,
Fist of all thanks for all the work you put into gluster this product is fantastic.
In our setup, we have to have some kind of nfs authentication.
Not beeing able to set the rpc-auth option using the cli was a big draw-back for us.
Setting the option auth.allow only set the gluster auth.addr.allow option in the bricks themselves but did not do any good regarding nfs access.

Access Denied
Hi Everyone,
I have Fedora Core 2 installed. I'm trying to share a printer using
samba. The shares/printers can be browsed from a windows xp machine. The
printer can be installed but it keeps giving me "access denied, unable
to connect. Tried the security on share, server and user but still no
luck. Could it be a security issue? Tried the following as well
smbclient -L IP and it asked me

Solaris streams package installation
Is it possible to install a solaris streams package with puppet?
As some of my machines are not allowed to be a nfs client, I transfer the
bunch of packages to these clients with the file type and puppet:// ...
If the packages are in filesystem format there can be hundreds of files within
large packages. It takes a huge amount of time to transfer all of them. So
I''ve changed them into

Distinct transactions (MV vs rename())?
I have a question regarding a thread in June called "Distinct
transactions", which I have included below. It seems to me that the
solution is not atomic for daemons opening the file as there is a moment
where the filename is not in the directory (i.e. unlink then link).
In summary, poster Charlie Woloszynski wanted to update a configuration
file in a safe manner (i.e. as a

how to get a probit scale in R?
Hi,
If you plot a cumulative histogram of a gausian distribution, using a
log scale on the x-axis and a probit scale on the y-axis, you get a
straight line.
My question is whether it is possible in R to use a "probit" scale in
a "plot". For example on the following webpage you can see an
application of how I would like to use a probit scale:
