Dear R People
I figured it out. I should RTFM before asking questions, particularly
on Saturday nights!
Thanks for your patience.

indications issues in Singapore?
Hi all,
haven't seen many posts about asterisk in Singapore...
Getting a server going there and was wondering if TDM400Ps will be fine in
FCC mode, and if there are indications / cadence values that I should be
putting on there as in other international locations.
Seen an unsettling post on voip-info about Singapore issues with Call
Polarity/Hangup Detection -- crossing my fingers I

rsync as a deliberately slow copy?
...over files).
Is this feasible?
I've got rsync 3.0.7 built on the two systems potentially involved
which running MacOSX 10.4.11 and 10.6.4. (I can do the copy
on either box or over a short ethernet between them.)
It's important to preserve MacOS resource forks, despite their
being out of vogue.

Is H323 dying?
Hello,
I just downloaded and installed the latest version of asterisk under Fedora. (had it under FreeBSD but was having TOOO many problems)
After my installation i noticed that the channel H323 was not included ( I remember that i did not have to install it under freeBSD) but I have seen that SIP and IAX are supported though. So i am wondering:
Does asterisk consider H323 so achaic that it does

problems with .forward
My old Centos 5.5 servers had a /root/.forward to send things like
logwatch to this email account. It did not take any special
configuration in sendmail for this to work.
Now Centos 6.3 is using postfix (as we well know, and generally I am
happy for this) and I have set up the /root/.forward as always, but it
seems like postfix is ignoring it. I have restarted postfix with no

xorriso or genisoimage syntax assistance
I got this figured out much faster than I thought I would. Thanks to all of
your help, Peter, Mattias, Thomas and Helmut. And Thomas, that 8 partition
live OS sounds right up my alley, and I will definitely check it out.
The second partition is working well with `parted' and `fdisk', so I am
quite pleased. Below is, again, "what I came up with". I tried to integrate

Does xen-4.2.0 support VGA passthrough with the virtual machine created by xl command?
Hi, everyone!
I am working on xen-4.2.0 with spice remote connect. My host is Fedora 14
and guest is win7.
I have installed spice package and now I can connect to guest by spice
client.
For better graphics experience, I want to try the VGA passthrough.
With spice tool, I have to create a VM by xl command, and now I am
wondering if it supports VGA passghrouth?
If so, how should I test it ?
