RE: [asterisk] VocTel service provider
I haven't heard much feedback yet - anyone here using VocTel? The connection problem turned out to be my firewall, but I'm curious if others experience any voice choppiness or high latency. Some posters have related the problem to specific VOIP providers, some seem to be ISP related (local network latency). Any feedback? OCG

Registering with second SIP service causes error every 2 seconds - what is going on?
I had my asterisk server working fine with FWD as a SIP provider, so I now added a second SIP provider (voctel). The addition to my sip.conf file is almost identical to FWD, however, asterisk now generates lots of debug messages for some strange reason! In particular, the line "##### Testing 127.0.0.1 with 172.31.0.0" shows up every two seconds! (See my log below). If I comment out the regist...

Appears to be a diversified company (Google of it shows that they do web design, VOIP, etc.). ...appears to be broken. configure: *** without explicitly specifying --with-odbc The above example is with the odbc flag specified to Configure. However, there's no difference in results with or without the flag. OT: Best DB
I know this is a bit off topic but we are using Asterisk :) Since this list is full of tech gurus w/ all different sorts of backgrounds, I thought I would get the best opinions here. We have several different switches and other telecom equipment at our facilities which all have their own proprietary cdr platforms, which are rather limited. The company I work for is looking to develop their
