Crossover cable: single point of failure?
Dear community, I have a 2-node gluster cluster with one replicated volume shared to a client via NFS. If the replication link (Ethernet crossover cable) between the Gluster nodes breaks, I discovered that my whole storage is not available anymore. I am using Pacemaker/corosync with two virtual IPs (service IPs exposed to the clients), so each node has its corresponding virtual IP, and

Huge difference in reporting disk usage via du and zfs list. Fragmentation?
Do we have enormous fragmentation here on our X4500 with Solaris 10, ZFS Version 10? What except zfs send/receive can be done to free the fragmented space? One ZFS was used for some month to store some large disk images (each 50GByte large) which are copied there with rsync. This ZFS then reports 6.39TByte usage with zfs list and only 2TByte usage with du. The other ZFS was used for similar

[PATCH v2 0/2] v2v: Add -it vddk and -it ssh flags.
The first patch was previously posted here: https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2017-December/msg00018.html That patch hasn't changed except that I made the ‘input_transport’ variable type-safe. The second patch adds a significant new mode for liberating data from VMware: the ability to copy VMs over SSH directly from ESXi hypervisors. Although this requires enabling SSH access (a
