this two server concept is fine for our primary server but not for cost sensitive systems like test installations, home systems or small business.
my concept of a perfect tiny all in one server is:
-based on a minimal xen4 or vmware4 system with pci passthrough
-minimal zfs storage with latest features (i just say deduplication an snapshots)
-other server (like windows or our vdr video server - pci passthrough to sat card
